Pav is healthy, his shoulder - finally - works well and he's ready to do battle for a sweet playoff spot - now that the Olympics are behind him and we're in the last month of regular season in the NHL.
Pavol has not forgotten his missed goal on the Olympics, he thinks that the fourth place Slovaks won is 'probably the worst', but he puts it all in perspective, saying that they were hoping for the eight spot at the tournament. He thinks, that this was the Slovaks last 'hurray', their swan song as a hockey power for some time to come. Even thou he adds that there are still some talented young slovak hockey players left, but he knows, the golden era of slovak hockey has entered into sunset now.
He's focused on the stretch to playoffs and nowhere close to be thinking about the IIHF World Championships coming up in May. Yet, in his opinion, Slovaks could put together a decent team for that tournament.
enjoy.
